When I first opened this email from The Knot, I thought it was going to contain tips on how to navigate my wedding as a lactose-intolerant person. Once I opened it, though, I realized that it was somewhat different.
The Knot has 15 "Cheese-free" wedding ideas for you -- meaning, ideas that are all cool and no corny :)
LOVE the "Hangover Helper" kit, the Rice Krispies Wedding Cake, and the boutonnieres made of feathers and buttons! Such awesome, creative D.I.Y. ideas in there.

My Inspiration Board - February 5
I've been thinking a lot lately about what my groom is going to wear on the big day :) here are some looks I am in love with -- these don't all match our color scheme of course, but I love an outfit with some personality!

I really do love what Geoffrey Arend, Christina Hendricks' husband, wore on their wedding day ... looks so adorable.

Gorgeous flowers
I definitely won't be flying in flowers from New Zealand (heck, I am pretty much leaning toward artificial buds), but this bouquet of imported orange ranunculus from MSW is GORGEOUS, and right up my alley, or aisle in this case :)

My recent contest winnings
I wanted to share a couple of photos from my recent wedding contest winnings ... I've been so lucky to be able to enter & win some contests to get some free things for the wedding :) Seriously, if you're a bride-to-be, enter these contests you see on these amazing wedding blogs and web sites! I can't say it enough!

I previously blogged about how I was the lucky winner of a gift certificate to Emici Bridal via a contest on Brenda's Wedding Blog, and today, I received my custom-made prize in the mail!

I went with an Ivory Silk Rapture Rose Hair Pin with Tulle Accent ... and I love it! It's going to go perfectly with my dress and the rest of my accessories, and I can't wait to test it out with some of the updos I've been looking at.
Then, I also recently received my prize from the debut issue of the new Eco-Beautiful Weddings online magazine ... my all-natural soy HollyBeth's Rosemary Mint candle ... and it smells divine!

So very excited and thankful for my new wedding loot!

My Inspiration Board - January 29
For this week's Inspiration Board, I wanted to take a look at pieces from some of my favorite clothing lines that weren't meant to be wedding accessories but could totally make for beautiful, interesting additions to your wedding ensemble.
This 1940s style beaded headwrap would make a beautiful accent on a vintage style updo

This crystal necklace from J. Crew is totally fit for a hollywood glam wedding

It's a tad on the pricey side, but oh man, this cuff bracelet from Anthropologie would make a beautiful alternative to a corsage for the moms and grandmoms ... and what a keepsake to have after the wedding

(Images courtesy of Anthropologie)
Of course I love vintage things, but I also love when new things look vintage ... like this ivory clutch from Target

So, I'm not sure theses are really everyday shoes anyway, but who wouldn't want these jeweled satin pumps from DSW as their something blue -- totally gorgeous
